GZR (short for Geezer) is the side-project of bassist Geezer Butler, best known as one of the founding members of Black Sabbath. GZR's debut album "Plastic Planet" was released in 1995, featuring a heavy and industrial-influenced sound with guest vocals from Fear Factory's Burton C. Bell. The album also featured drumming from Deen Castronovo of Journey and guitar work from Pedal To The Metal's Pedro Howse. "Plastic Planet" received mixed reviews upon release but has since gained a cult following among fans of industrial and heavy metal music. The album's lyrics deal with themes of environmental and societal decay, as well as critiques of modern technology and consumerism.
